Dying in Space Station 14 is usually not a big deal. When you die, you become a Ghost, a role that allows you see the entirety of the playing field and see what you've become. You can also become a ghost by selecting Observe in the game menu.

Roleplay-wise, the Ghost is separate from the being it came from and therefore does not retain the memories of the ghost upon revival. Doing so would go against most server-established rules.

If you don't see yourself being revived, fear not! Being a ghost is pretty cool, and allows you access to some interesting Roles.

Responsibilities

A Ghost has no responsibilities. Fuck around and find out, I guess.

Actions

A ghost can move freely, pass through walls, and toggle lighting. You can also warp to places around the station or follow players. You also get access to all Radio channels (mutable with one of the sidebar actions) and one additional one called Dead, where you communicate with other ghosts.

Ghosts have a single ability, that being they can flicker the lights of a room. The living can see this flickering and it can make for an awesome way to drive someone insane.

Ghost Roles

A Ghost can also accept a Role to turn into some minor roles. These roles are to add flavor to the round and can be non-antagonist, free agent, silicon, or antagonist. These roles are aimed at distracting players from their own jobs in various ways.

When playing a role, remember you have no memory of your own life or any information gained from Dead or OOC chats (as such would be metagaming).

Team-Antagonist Roles

Team antagonist roles will dictate that you will actively seek to harm the crew and station within limits. As a team antagonist you must work alongside your other team members and not cause harm to them.
