Wizard's Den servers
The Wizard's Den servers (often referred to as «Wizden» or «Upstream») are the official servers for Space Station 14 based on the official repository.
Despite having almost identical content, the servers have different cultures and a handful of minor gameplay differences.
List of servers
The current list of Wizard Den servers are as follows:
- Wizard's Den Leviathan
- Wizard's Den Lizard
- Wizard's Den Salamander
- Wizard's Den Vulture
Differences
Although Wizden servers are broadly similar, every server has some differences in culture and content.
Lizard
Lizard meant for new players and has no requirements to join. It is often considered to be of «low quality», as the lack of requirements causes it to be something of a sink for both raiders and clueless players alike. However, some members of the community enjoy the chaos, and prefer it to the other servers.
Leviathan
Leviathan is the default, bare-bones LRP server of the bunch. It has a two-hour playtime requirement on Lizard before it can be joined, which cuts down on the number of raiders it sees compared to Lizard and especially Salamander.
Vulture
Vulture is the wizden testing server. Updates are launched here for testing once they are merged. This server tends to skew in popularity, as with testing servers come very impactful bugs!
Salamander
Salamander is a whitelist-only medium-roleplay server, which can only be played on by people who are whitelisted. Being an MRP server, the MRP amendments to the rules are enforced here, which make the rules more strict in certain cases. For instance, powergaming is prohibited, and roleplay is expected to continue even after the round ends (and the end of the round is also longer for this purpose).
