Overview

A loadout in Space Station 14 refers to what your character will spawn in with upon joining. Loadouts are not affected by latejoining.

You can choose so many different items to start with, such as clothing, backpacks, "Trinkets" (towels, smokes, plushies, pins, etc.), glasses, even your PDA! Some jobs, such as the Musician, have special loadouts that allow them to bring items such as instruments. With the Cyborg and AI, the loadout is how you choose your name, otherwise it will be picked for you. Also, certain items, such as towels, fancy "senior" PDAs, gold stars, and more can only be unlocked with playtime as a certain role. (The hardest to unlock being the Gold Towel, requiring 1000 hours, or 41.6 days, of playtime. Talk about an addiction!)
